Performing Arts

The performing arts majors—dance, music and theatre—have special characteristics of that will make you a valuable addition to prospective employers:

  • Ability and talent to use one’s body, voice, or set/stage design to share a story. 
  • Creative thinking skills.
  • Capability to be a team player.
  • Skills to elicit enthusiastic responses from the audience.
  • Desire to perform and share art with the world. 
  • Capacity to memorize and apply detailed instructions, scripts, and cues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
