Our job fairs are the best way to connect with off-campus employment opportunities. We bring large numbers of employers to campus to meet with Adelphi students and distribute information about their organizations. Some collect résumés, and some even conduct on-the-spot interviews. We also organize fairs for on-campus jobs, part-time and full-time jobs and internships.
Potential Employer Lists
Our arts and sciences and business recruitment lists are updated with new employers each year. Employers are asked to complete a short evaluation of each candidate, and a career counselor later reviews their remarks with the student.
For education or social work recruitment, we invite employers from public and private schools, healthcare providers and social service agencies in the New York metropolitan area. We’re also co-founder of a Long Island College Consortium, formed to bring out-of-area public school districts to Long Island to interview candidates who are seeking employment in school settings. This program has grown each year, and about 40 public school districts currently participate. The consortium also arranges for the New York City Department of Education to do interviewing and fingerprinting at a Long Island campus.
