International relations specialists have a broad set of career options. Besides politics, they can get involved in fields like economics, social systems and culture. The insights students gain from studying international relations subjects—including political affairs, public policy, economic trends, social issues and law—prepare them for a wide variety of jobs, from diplomacy and lobbying to international law and intelligence.
